So the best thing this does for me is allow me to use VSCO presets I bought for ACR in Lightroom. This is amazing for that. You just go to where the presets for ACR live, find the preset and it gets applied.

This is cool!

If this could become part of lightroom and could be done in the process of import that would save loads of time. Imagine that you import your photos and apply your basic presets which I do everytime and then you could just turn it on and off to see and choose all the photos. I can imagine this working together with focus point information unless you recompose your pictures but still if this could become part of lightroom I think it would mean a lot especially with capture one having this feature composed well into it directly.
Keep up the good work!

I’ve installed the ripper properly in LR and it shows up. When I click on the file to rip, it takes me to a screen that says “3 seconds” delay. Then nothing more happens. What am I missing? Thanks

Comment on Ripping Photoshop Express presets by Grant http://www.capturemonkey.com/psxpresets/#comment-4248 Wed, 18 May 2016 09:43:03 +0000 http://www.capturemonkey.com/?p=618#comment-4248 Hi Jarno

Amazing work, thank you!

As Andy posted last year, any chance you can look at proving a rip for the current PS Express filters or a few of them currently listed in the standard version? Namely; vibrant, autumn, spring, summer, winter, invert, bueno, pastel, haze, koi, aquatic, silvered, misty, dappled, dream, superpunch, vivid, glow, contrast punch, B&W, carmine, and memory.

Best

Grant

Currently, the plugin does not do anything when you select republish, because it is not possible to replace the photo while keeping the same url. Similarly, delete only removes from local collection, and you must remove photos on the Instagram app.

Currently, the way to publish new rendering is: 1. delete photo from publish collection, 2. press publish, 3. add photo to publish collection again, 4. press publish. And additionally, you probably also want to delete that old photo from Instagram app.

I know this is a bit confusing and I’m hoping to improve this in the future.

If you want to make crops less of hurdle, try adding the post-processing action for automatic cropping (right click publisher title for Publishing Manager, and on the left bottom side of the dialog, select action and click Insert)

However after publishing I realized it resized my horizontal full frame photos properly, but the vertical portrait ones it said were not the proper ratio. So I went ahead and manually cropped those to 4×5, and hit mark to republish. I then manually deleted them from my instagram account, then hit publish. However those it already published, even though they are marked to republish, it didn’t do. So I’m left only with those that haven’t been published before. How do I republish photos?

When I say auto I mean that it would show it in the main library or develop view in LR without needing to select each image. Also, this shows focus on every image, it doesn’t seem to discern between achieved focus and things that are close to being in focus but that are not actually in focus. In all honesty this is an excellent effort but not useful to me because once I zoom an image I can tell for myself what is in focus. (so it’s not a time saver) I will be the first to buy this if it can auto scan every photo in a shoot and highlight only the ones with a strong focus point. Hope all that makes sense? It’s hard to describe.
